Dove Commercial Progress

After writing my previous three stories, I realized that I would not be able to realistically execute any of them, and that’s okay. I accept defeat, and so now I am ready to conquer a new game plan.

I have decided to take my story in a different direction. My theme is #choosehappiness. I chose this hashtag because I feel like I have to constantly remind myself to do this very simple concept. Now that I have a more firm concept, I am confident that I will be able to move forward. I also have the perfect song I want to use for my video which is I Giorni, by Ludovico Einaudi. He is a brilliant pianist and the song, to me, captures the seriousness of my message, while still sounding optimistic and hopeful (two things I will desperately need during finals week).

I want tell people what it means to choose happiness, in my own words. I wrote my script in a way that still lets my genuinely thoughts and personality shine through. Sort of like if a friend is telling you how to choose happiness. I think this concept captures Dove well because Dove is about breaking out of the normal beauty standards and letting both men and women to know that it’s okay to be different. By celebrating the diversity in others is how we learn to love the diversity of ourselves.

 

Anyway, this is just a quick update of how things are going, I will report back with more info later.
